ExOne launches New S-MAX Pro™ Industrial 3D Sand Printer

The ExOne Company is making its debut in industrial sand 3D Printing with the launch of the SMAX Pro™. There is not yet a lot of competitors on this market share. Apart from Voxeljet that distinguishes itself from other companies, ExOne is another pioneer in sand 3D Printing.

The specialist of binder jetting technology unveils a technology that can print up to 135 l/h (18 s/layer) and 3D Print two full 1,800 x 1,000 x 700 (mm) job boxes, each with a volume of 1,260 L, in just 24 hours.

The industrial 3D Printer impresses with its printhead and its fully automated recoater. According to the manufacturer, it is easy to replace the molding material, which makes it much easier to produce complex parts with casting materials, not to mention that the design of the box-in-box system meets the market requirements for 24/7 operation in chains of interconnected facilities.

Reaching industry 4.0 capabilities

Industry 4.0 is definitely part of various manufacturers’ objectives and ExOne totally gets it. From hardware to software, the US-based manufacturer is improving every single aspect of its digital portfolio.

In the S-MAX Pro™, a cloud connectivity and Industry 4.0 capabilities have been integrated enabling an accurate monitoring of all processes. In other terms, any printing errors can be detected early and corrective action can be taken automatically.
