ESUN and ZYYX 3D printer together, will push forward sales and R&D

Formnext led to strategic partnerships for a great number of companies.

ZYYX 3D Printer and Shenzhen Esun Industrial Co., Ltd. together will deliver professional filaments and professional printers to the global 3D printing market.

ESUN will be the exclusive distributor of the ZYYX pro 3D printer in China. This partnership leads to the creation of a new business segment dedicated to professional users with a need for functional prototypes, jigs and fixtures.

Mr. Yihu Yang, CEO of Shenzhen Esun Industrial Co., Ltd says, the Chinese market for desktop 3D printers is today mainly focused on entry level products, but China’s rise as an innovation super power poses a great need for professional desktop 3D printing tools and this is where the ZYYX pro shines. The ZYYX pro 3D printer is the perfect tool to offer together with our latest engineering grade materials, and we see a great business opportunity in China with this type of offering.” “ESUN [is] active in for example automotive and medical industry in China and overseas, and here it is crucial to have high quality advanced engineering polymers and also to have a high quality printer.” says Mr. Yang.

The Research & Development phase

Both companies intend to develop new 3D printing materials. They will lay emphasis on professional use and engineering grade materials.

The newest addition, the ZYYX proGlass filament which is a PA66 Nylon with 15% glass fiber content, was showcased at Formnext in Frankfurt.

Mats Moosberg, CEO of Magicfirm Europe AB and creator of ZYYX 3D Printer: We have worked with ESUN for some time developing new tailored materials for the ZYYX pro, and we are honored to be able to say that we now will work even closer to offer more materials, all with a clear application within professional printing.

If customers trigger this innovation (glass fiber filled nylon), notice is to be made that ‘‘the market for desktop 3D printers is getting tougher and tougher, and it is crucial to have a clear ambition.’’ “The materials are at the center of such offering and we are very happy to say that we are now working closely with the leading supplier of 3D printing materials in the world”, adds Mats Mooberg.
