Remember? Early at the beginning of the year, we told you that Prodways will discontinue its line of jewelry 3D printers – that were initially commercialized under the brand Solidscape. The manufacturer of high-resolution inkjet 3D printers based in Merrimack, UK, has recently announced it will start a new chapter thanks to a new investor.

While the name of the new buyer has not been revealed, this acquisition will enable Solidscape to recommence normal business operations as an independent company, effective immediately.

As a reminder, the company that was the first to unveil a commercial inkjet 3D printer in 1994 serves the jewelry and precision investment casting industries.

Solidscape’s CEO Alban d’Halluin states “My Solidscape colleagues and I are delighted to provide certainty to our community that we are back to business-as-usual. We will continue to manufacture our unique range of 3D printers and consumables, provide technical service and support to customers, and develop new products.”
