Milan Design Week 2018: Nagami’s 3D printed chairs

The next edition of Milan Design Week will be held in Milan from April 17th to 22nd, 2018. This year also, some artists are already drawing our attention by the presentations they will make. Nagami, a design brand founded by three artists represents them.

They will showcase 3D printed chairs made in collaboration with a number of studios including Zaha Hadid Architects. The London-based architecture firm showcased during last year’s edition “Shadows”, a 3D printed work created from Thallus, an experimental structure.

Entitled “Brave new world”, Nagami highlights a large-scale robotic 3D printing. The four 3D printed chairs include: “Rise” and “Bow” by Zaha Hadid Architects, “Robotica TM” by Ross Lovegrove, and “Peeler” by Daniel Widrig.

We craft every detail, from the early conception of a product, to the software that allows it to come to life, exploring new ways of creating furniture and environments which push the limits of imagination to unseen territories. We design products that until now were just waiting for the right technology to come to life,” said Manuel Jimenez García, Miki Jimenez García, and Ignacio Viguera Ochoa, Nagami’s founders. “Not only objects that you can hold, but also that you can feel and experience as part of your environment.”
