Groupe Gorgé Half-year results: share capital of 3D Printing division increases

Groupe Gorgé, specialized in high tech industries, especially in fields of security, protection in extreme environments and 3D Printing sector reveals a decline of 3.6% in its activities compared to 2016 first semester.

Indeed, this first half revenue is estimated at €136.7 million. However, we notice positive results in the 3D Printing and Smart Safety Systems segment. We are talking about a revenue of €54.4 million for the Smart Safety Systems, thus an increase of  2.6% compared to 2016.

As far as the 3D Printing division is concerned, one notices its upward trend with revenue of €14.6 million in the first half of 2017, up 18.2% from the first half of 2016. The Systems business, stable compared to the first half of 2016, saw only €0.5 million in sales of its new ProMaker P1000 machine, whose marketing was slowed down in order to perfect its reliability.  At the same time, the Products business, up 50.5% in the first half of 2017, has progressed significantly, enabling the division to achieve greater growth than most publicly traded companies in its sector.

The segment’ success is also due to its initial public offering. They have been able to to accelerate investments in R&D as well as in commercial development on the one hand; on the other hand, finance targeted acquisitions in the 3D printing segment.

As for other divisions, an increase of products’ commercialisation is expected in the Smart Safety Systems division. Furthermore, the revenue of the Protection of High-Risk Installations division should be line with 2016 revenue.

Groupe Gorgé reaffirms its consolidated revenue objective of €300 million in 2017. Compared to a mixed first half, the second half of the year is expected to show a clear improvement in profitability.
