Flashforge releases its latest consumer-grade FFF 3D printer, the Adventurer 4

3D printer manufacturer Flashforge has added a new 3D printer to its Adventurer series. Named Adventurer 4, the consumer-grade FFF 3D printer would be an upgraded version of its predecessor, the Adventurer 3 series.

Furthermore, the launch is very timely with the back-to-school season, as the 3D printer would be a great fit for teachers. In this vein, it may help students discover 3D design and printing. It would also be a great fit for makers who are looking to 3D print parts at home, and designers and engineers who would like to print prototype parts for their designs in office settings.

Main specifications of Adventurer 4

With a build volume of 220 x 200 x 250 mm, the new 3D printer features a built-in camera to monitor builds in real-time, an auto-leveling platform with an aluminum base. Its leveling-free platform design and print volume as well as a new slicer enable users to easily monitor and manage multiple 3D printers at once.

Users will also notice that the new single extruder machine integrates a removable nozzle, which has a patented buckle design that can be easily removed. This makes it easier for the user to ensure tool-free replacement and maintenance, not to mention that he can work with three different nozzle choices from – 0.3, 0.4 (default), and 0.6 mm.

As far as materials are concerned, let’s note that the 240°C and high-temperature 265°C extruders can process a variety of 3D printing filaments, including ABS, PLA, PC, PETG, PLA-CF, and PETG-CF. furthermore, a built-in 1kg filament spool holder helps reduce the frequent change of materials that operators often have to deal with. In addition to the filament detection sensor that can stop the printing process when there is no filament, the machine can also take over printing after a power outage.

Last but not least, a fully enclosed printing chamber and HEPA 13H air filter system effectively remove 99% of TVOC powder and activated carbon dust and odour filter.
