Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) and AFEMO, the Italian Association of Manufacturers and Exporters of Goldsmithing Machinery, have renewed their strategic partnership for 2026–2028. This partnership aims to reinforce the positioning of T.Gold, the trade show dedicated to technologies and machinery for jewelry and precious metal manufacturing, held alongside Vicenzaoro.

The renewal sits within a wider IEG development plan backed by a self-financed investment of around €60 million to expand the Vicenza exhibition center, including a new Hall 2 due to open in September. The project will move T.Gold from Hall 9, currently outside the exhibition perimeter, into Hall 4, integrating it far more closely with Vicenzaoro. Additionally, from this year, T.Gold runs twice annually, in January and September, in step with Vicenzaoro’s schedule.

Beyond logistics, both organizations have committed to tracking the macro trends reshaping the sector (advanced automation, additive manufacturing technologies including binder jetting, new materials, sustainable production, and testing and quality control) through a program of conferences, educational sessions and training.

Our collaboration with AFEMO represents a strategic asset that goes beyond T.Gold,” said Matteo Farsura, Global Exhibition Manager of IEG’s jewellery exhibitions, noting that it would extend to Oroarezzo, JGTD in Dubai and SIJE in Singapore. “Together, our goal is to build an innovation platform spanning all our B2B events, capable of promoting knowledge transfer and supporting the international competitiveness of companies throughout the supply chain.”

AFEMO represents 60 member companies with a combined turnover of roughly €600 million, an indirect economic impact of €1 billion and more than 3,000 employees. For the president, Massimo Poliero, this renewal is a way to “monitor, interpret and guide” both mature and emerging markets while strengthening Italy’s leadership in jewelry technology.

Last September, The Vicenza Symposium turned the city into a meeting point for the jewelry and fashion-accessory industries, gathering more than 80 companies and institutions to debate how AM and advanced manufacturing can be adopted sustainably, from cyanide-free electroplating to metal traceability and AI-assisted quality control.

The IEG–AFEMO renewal suggests T.Gold wants to push that momentum further. By embedding the technology show physically inside Vicenzaoro and doubling its frequency, IEG is positioning jewelry manufacturing technology as a permanent fixture of the calendar.

This will give manufacturers a steadier rhythm for evaluating and sourcing equipment, and it positions Vicenza as the go-to place for that evaluation.
