In an effort to continue delivering the most user-friendly experience with its SLA 3D printing systems, ceramic 3D printing company 3DCeram introduces CERIA, a software solution powered by AI.

It’s been a few months that the company has been talking about this solution. Last week at Formnext, the company enabled visitors at its booth to get a hands-on experience through an experiential game.

After a few minutes on the platform, the first thing I realized was that CERIA does not require in-depth technical experience to understand how it works. This 3D printing assistant helps designers optimize part conception while ensuring precise placement within the tank. It provides a thorough analysis of the final tank configuration for optimal results and enhanced scraping parameters.

Users of 3DCeram’s SLA 3D printers could therefore benefit from maximum productivity while saving time and costs. Maxence Bourjol, Sales Manager at 3DCeram, told 3D ADEPT Media at Formnext that, whether you have a small batch or a massive number of parts in the printing platform, the software solution works the same way by automatically adapting the printing time according to the design.

In practice, after downloading the build files, CERIA Set analyzes them and identifies areas for improvement. Through clear messages and actionable recommendations, CERIA Set helps users achieve optimized manufacturing outcomes. Additionally, the CERIA Set identifies empty spaces, allowing for more efficient material usage and reducing waste.

Interestingly, with the possibility to integrate CERIA with 3DCeram’s existing tools such as Build-It and CPS 2.0, users can benefit from a complete ecosystem for managing every stage of ceramic 3D printing.

As you will see in the video below, another key highlight of the company was the increasing reliance on automation processes to achieve series production. That’s a topic we will surely discuss further in the coming year.

With over 20 years of experience in ceramic 3D printing, I am glad to see 3DCeram go one step further to refine the use of ceramic 3D printing for industrial applications. Based on the tour I had on the company’s booth at Formnext, we may expect an increasing use of the company’s ceramic 3D printing technology in the semiconductors industry and a continuous focus on producing large ceramic parts.

In the meantime, I hope the team will share more feedback from users who will utilize CERIA in their production environment.
