Amnovis crosses the Atlantic. The Belgian metal additive manufacturing contract manufacturer has established a US operational entity and acquired the additive manufacturing activities of Westconn Precision Technologies.
The new site will be located in North Webster, Indiana, squarely within the Warsaw ecosystem, widely regarded as the global hub of orthopedics.
To our knowledge, this marks Amnovis’ first acquisition since the company was founded in June 2020. Rather than opening a satellite office, Amnovis is building what it describes as a mirror site of its Belgian headquarters: same equipment strategy, same quality management system, same digital workflows. The goal? To offer customers globally deployable manufacturing capacity with consistent validation and process control across two continents.
Chris Cook has been appointed General Manager of US Operations to lead the ramp-up, while Jake Marasco, who comes from Westconn and brings hybrid manufacturing expertise will handle account management and business development in North America.

“Expanding our operational footprint to the United States is a logical next step in the evolution of Amnovis,” said CEO and co-founder Ruben Wauthle. The proximity to the largest medical device market in the world, and to Warsaw specifically, is core to the strategy.
On the international AM scene, Amnovis remains a relatively young company (founded barely five years ago) yet it is executing with the maturity and ambition of a seasoned global player. For those who have followed the company’s trajectory, from its early ISO 13485 certification to surpassing 50,000 titanium implants produced, this US expansion is a natural progression.
Belgium may not be the first country that comes to mind when thinking of global AM powerhouses, but Amnovis is quietly making the case that deep process expertise, rigorous quality standards, and a clear industrial focus can compete — and scale — on any market.
The acquisition of Westconn’s AM activities strengthens Amnovis’ hybrid manufacturing capabilities, combining metal additive manufacturing with CNC and post-processing. For OEMs in regulated industries navigating supplier qualification across regions, having one trusted partner with harmonized operations on both sides of the Atlantic is a compelling proposition.
