    Description of the job
    A vacancy for a Junior Development Engineer Avionics Test Facilities A400M (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join “Rig Operation TOR AVS”.

    Tasks & accountabilities
    Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
    Takeover of development activities in “electrics” in the field of test plant modification / new development:
    Module / cabinet specific electrical detail development
    Support in the development of the qualification concept
    Support of developer activities “mechanics” in the field of test plant modification / new development:
    Module / cabinet specific mechanical detail development (front panels, trays, etc.)
    Support in the development of the qualification concept
    Support in the creation of development specific documentation (SPEC, PDR-/CDR-Docu, etc.)
    Main planner responsible for the preparation of the required construction documents
    Creation of order lists for the purchasing department
    Preparation and maintenance of electrical construction documents:
    2D circuit and overview plans
    bonding plans
    parts lists
    Libraries (standard parts, purchased parts, LRU’s, etc.)
    Preparation and maintenance of mechanical construction documents:
    3D parts and assemblies
    2D manufacturing and assembly drawings
    Screen printing / Foil printing
    parts lists
    Libraries (standard parts, purchased parts, LRU’s, etc.)
    Carrying out plausibility checks
    If required, taking over production support (including supplier management, if applicable), as well as support in
    Qualification and certification process
    Active support in the regular revision of the development and construction-specific work instructions

    Required skills
    We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
    Completed studies or technical training in electrical engineering, avionics or similar
    Professional experience in the field of switch cabinet development as well as the design of the corresponding
    Power supply, cable cross-sections, etc. desirable
    Professional experience in the field of electrical and mechanical design, as well as experience with CAD tools
    CATIA V5 and CAPITAL desirable
    Good and broadband general knowledge in the field of avionics system of the A400M model aircraft desirable
    Knowledge in the field of test system specific configuration management incl. tool knowledge
    SAP PLM desirable
    Knowledge in dealing with technical regulations, norms and standards
    Experience in the field of (A400M-) test system specific development and qualification processes desirable
    – Fluent English- and German skills
