DIA Dental Implant Center has added a Carbon™ 3D printer to its production portfolio that comprises so conventional manufacturing technologies including milling machines.

The dental clinic is known for its full mouth dental implant treatment (DIArch™) in Austin (USA). The specialists of this clinic have realized how uplifting it is for patients to arrive with a serious issue in the morning, and get everything taking care of in just one procedure.

How will the Carbon 3D Printer improve their treatment?

The Carbon printer will enhance the accuracy and longevity of the full arch bridges placed in the DIArch™ tooth replacement treatment.

The device creates single, multiple, and full arch restorations with faster and more accurate results than a milling machine. This 3D printing process improves the fit, function, and comfort of the new teeth. Not only does the printed prosthesis have an incredibly accurate and comfortable fit in a patient’s mouth, but with full mouth dental implants created by the Carbon 3D printer, patients can return to complete oral function as well.

Indeed, the doctors place four or more dental implants into a patient’s jawbone, to which the Carbon 3D printed prosthesis will attach. Once in place, this prosthesis provides a tooth replacement solution that can last over 20 years when properly maintained.

According to patients who have already benefited from this treatment, the printed prostheses provide comfort and stability and allow them to eat their favorite foods again and speak without worry. Made of lasting materials that also looks natural, patients who receive these restorations report a noticeable boost in self-confidence due to their natural-looking smile.

A change in Carbon™ strategy?

The acquisition of the Carbon 3D printer also highlights the fact that the 3D Printer manufacturer may have change its business operation strategy. So far, the USA-based manufacturer did not commercialize its 3D printers, but rather provided manufacturing services to help its clients improve their business. Not to mention that the manufacturer’s 3D Printers are said to be one of the most expensive of the market.

This change might be the signal other ventures waited for, to get their own Carbon 3D printer technology. #StayTuned
