Aniwaa confirms its transition to a platform model with new 3D printer comparison tool

Seven years after the creation of the company, Aniwaa is giving a new direction to its additive manufacturing activities. The company has released a new and improved 3D printer comparison tool that confirms its positioning as a platform model.

The new 3D printer comparison tool addresses a single issue: simplify access to those who are researching and comparing additive manufacturing equipment.

The new comparison engine would index over 2,100 products and would integrate the full spectrum of additive manufacturing systems. Thanks to new filtering and comparison options, users can find accurate results based on their research items. Furthermore, in a press communication, Aniwaa said users can also benchmark up to four 3D printers at a time, side by side, and get a comprehensive overview of the products that raises their interest.

With the goal of helping professional users research, evaluate and purchase AM equipment, the company has built extensive database of professional and industrial 3D printers on the market.

In a recent dossier of 3D ADEPT Mag, Aniwaa’s CEO Martin Lansard was explaining the importance of starting from the user need and of proceeding by elimination, to find the ideal 3D printer.

However, there was always a line the company did not cross – until today: the one to introduce qualified leads to AM companies. Today, Aniwaa is uniquely positioned to help visitors of its online platform to choose the right 3D printer but also to connect these leads with potential resellers so that they can finalize their purchase.

Pierre-Antoine Arrighi, Aniwaa’s co-founder, has worked with additive manufacturing for more than 10 years in his academic and professional career. “3D printers are a fast-growing category; we’re seeing many professional applications reaching maturity and a strong untapped potential overall,” he said. “New hardware is being released frequently, which is creating a very fragmented market space and making it difficult for potential buyers to make an informed choice. That’s why we’re constantly improving our tools to help our users find the best AM hardware for their needs and budget.”

With the unprecedented times we are living, all companies need to rethink their business model and activities. While most manufacturers are relying on distributed manufacturing services, other companies are making the best of digital tools.
