RAPID + TCT returns to Boston April 13–16, 2026, with a program that leans into practical, production‑focused work rather than broad marketing. The nine tracks and more than 160 presentations emphasize measurable improvements for engineers, service bureaus, and in‑house additive manufacturing teams: realistic cost modeling, machine throughput gains, qualification and certification workflows, and software that shifts inspection earlier in the build cycle so parts emerge closer to delivery‑ready.
Speakers intentionally bridge academic research and shop‑floor realities, which aligns with the priorities of 3D Adept’s readers who value repeatability, throughput, and predictable margins. Expect sessions that dig into automating digital certification, reducing qualification cycles, and applying scheduling and toolpath strategies that increase utilization without expensive hardware upgrades. Material‑handling and sustainability talks cover powder recycling, batch strategies, and waste reduction that can lower per‑part cost while improving environmental performance—useful for service bureaus balancing capacity and profitability.
Huba Horompoly of Gravity Pull Systems frames the event as one that balances rigor

with manufacturability. Two sessions he leads are particularly relevant for teams scaling production: on Tuesday, April 14, Maximizing Profit in AM with Intelligent Scheduling and Machine Optimization will present cost models, resource allocation techniques, and small toolpath changes that yield measurable savings; on Thursday, April 16, Digital Certification in Metal AM will explore how software can automate qualification steps and move inspection earlier in the workflow to reduce rework and accelerate delivery. Taken together, these talks map a path from shop‑floor efficiency to certified part output.
Full Conference Pass holders gain access to the exhibit hall and the Conference Delegate Reception on Monday evening, offering time to compare industrial printers, post‑processing systems, and AM software in person. The show floor is where engineers can validate vendor claims against live demos and where procurement and operations teams can identify partners to shorten qualification and procurement cycles. For teams evaluating software or automation, vendor demos and side‑by‑side comparisons often reveal integration and workflow differences that matter more than raw specs.
