Sinterit has launched three new devices which will enhance the use of its Lisa and Lisa PRO SLS 3D printers: a Sinterit ATEX Vacuum Cleaner which integrates a Cyclone Separator, the bigger Sandblaster XL and a dedicated platform for the two 3D Printers.
Faster and cleaner
With the goal of drastically improving the printing process with its SLS 3D printers, the Polish manufacturer has been developing a Vacuum Cleaner with cyclone separator.
After the printing process, removing the residue of metal powder left afterwards the working cycle, is of paramount importance to avoid any cross-contamination and ensure the quality of the products.
The Vaccum Cleaner’s role is therefore to enable a clean process. It also allows the operator to recover and reuse the unsintered powder. Leveraging this device goes hand in hand with the ATEX certification, a uniquely European Union directive for protection against explosive atmospheres. The certification covers “equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.”
“We wanted to introduce not only a tool but a device that is individually designed for the SLS environment, this is why only ATEX vacuum cleaners were on our circle of concern. With Cyclone Separator we wanted to design a simple and user-friendly tool made for better maintenance and powder saving. Now, after vacuuming, the user just removes the separator from the powder container, closes the lid and it’s ready” says Grzegorz Glowa, CTO of Sinterit.
Handling bigger printouts easily
The new version of the Sandblaster XL has been developed with the company latest generation of 3D printers in mind. Unlike the first Sandblaster, it integrates two separate nozzles as well as additional features including the powerful light, different nozzle diameters, and more protective PE foils.
User-friendly
There is nothing like a device which is not user-friendly. As a matter of fact, sometimes what makes a 3D printer outstanding is the set of features that have been developed to make its utilization more practical. In this specific case, Sinterit’s team has laid emphasis on ergonomy and UX.
The new Sinterit platform aims to make the use of the company’s two 3D printers more convenient and mobile.
“The height was adjusted with the ergonomy in mind, very important while filling with powder, cleaning or during maintenance. It is easier to take out a print cake and maintain the printer. Thanks to its mobility it is also a great solution for users with a large number of machines on board. Each set has two leg heights, depending on the needs – higher for Lisa and lower for Lisa PRO”, said the company.
