EPMA to close its UK office on April 30th

The European Powder Metallurgy Association aka EPMA has announced it will close its UK-based office from April 30^th.

The announcement follows an exciting 2019 that marked the celebration of its 30^th anniversary. In a press release, Lionel Aboussouan, Executive Director and Ralf Carlström, EPMA President explain that this decision aims to improve “improve efficiency through facilitating collaboration and communication as well as enabling a better platform for cost optimization.”

From May 1^st, the 2 EPMA offices will be gathered into a common office in France – located at the address 1 Avenue du General de Gaulle – F-60500 Chantilly – France. Remaining employees will work from home. The French office will stand as the main administrative office whereas the EPMA Headquarter will still be based in Brussels.

The press release also explains that the UK-based staff was given the possibility to relocate to France but does not confirm any decision of relocation. However, in the meantime, a part of the team will work until the EuroPM2020 congress to ensure continuity.
