Design studio Notaroberto-Boldrini presents a collection of 3D printed watches

The Lyon-based studio, founded by designers Simon Boldrini and Loïc Notaroberto, made use of 3D Printing to unveil a new line of watches: Watch.step, an originality that relies in the mix of fashion, fun and technology.

Two versions of these 3D printed watches are available: the Watch.step “Pop” and the Watch.step “Fancy”, which has a more conservative colour palette.

Those timepieces are made using a Zortrax M200 3D printer. The manufacturing is a combination of 3D printing and crafting techniques. In addition to 3D Printed parts which are in ABS plastic, a nylon strap and a quartz movement constitute these unisex watches.

Called “STEP”, the designers say this project of 3D printed watches is a self-published [one] that was born following the acquisition of a 3D printer for the studio. [It] is a cross between new technology and craft process. [They] use the 3D printer to create the different components that [they] assemble ourselves. The final product is the result of a work exclusively carried out in the studio.”

A wide range of colors are available: black, pink, yellow, green, taupe, bordeau, kaki, and ivory. For 35 euros a piece, Watch.step products are available via the studio’s online shop.
