Material and 3D printer developer Chromatic 3D Materials has successfully raised $6 million in funding for its 3rd equity issuance. It allows Chromatic to build & enhance production by enabling customers via approval processes to increase their revenue. It also helps to expand their tech competency & overall quality through combined industrial chemistry & strategic Additive Manufacturing models.
The Founder & CEO of Chromatic 3D Materials, Cora Leibig states that “Chromatic delivers the material performance and technology required to make manufacturing more responsive. With this financing, we will drive the implementation of our technology across several markets & tend to expand our market reach.”
“From our first investment, I was convinced that Chromatic was delivering a truly novel and necessary technology to the additive manufacturing space. The applications in the pipeline, particularly in aerospace, are transformative, and I’m excited to support the company through implementation and commercialization,” explains Embedded Ventures Co-Founder & General Partner – Jordan Noone.
Ultimately, Chromatic has raised over 15 million USD, including equity financing during 2018 & 2021. With this earlier funding, the company has portrayed its resin production in the USA & printer manufacturing in Germany.
In 2023, Chromatic launched a new series of RX-Flow™ 3D printers that has generated massive sales among its loyal consumer base (in industrial & aerospace markets) in the U.S. & EU.
Post its 2021 investment, the firm has successfully established 12 proprietary material grades with added flexibilities reliable for textile, automotive & industrial hydraulic usage. For instance, it has delivered 1600+ climate-control cable grommets for the renowned Daimler Truck Buses & over 250 ÖBB rail vehicles have been installed with Chromatic system parts.
Various Chromatic material grades led to partnerships with prominent business leaders looking to transform their elastomeric fabrication strategies & product design manufacturing. Multiple active joint development programs incorporate RX-AM™ printing tech to enhance manufacturing abilities in the aerospace, defense, consumer furnishing, industrial & textile sectors.
Chromatic is also involved in boosting its patent portfolio with 10+ issuances & over 25 pending apps worldwide.
