On the road to Formnext 2021…

Only a few days left and Mesago will open the doors of the long-awaited in-person Formnext event…We are not there yet but we can already feel the enthusiasm and eagerness from AM companies that will exhibit in the halls of Messe Frankfurt from November 16th to 19th through social media posts that announce their presence.

As always, there is a lot to see, to touch and to print at Formnext…And amid this non-exhaustive range of solutions, there are also a comprehensive list of world premieres.

We have started covering a bunch of these world premieres in the September/October edition of 3D ADEPT Mag that will be distributed on the show. These premieres include solutions from Evonik, CHIRON Group, ULT AG, Solukon, Prima Additive, Arburg, or Alloyed.

We have also covered a lot of them through our online media. But trust us, with over 600 exhibitors on the show, there is a lot more to see.

The amazing response we have seen from exhibitors and the AM industry as a whole, including those based outside of Germany, underscores the importance of Formnext as the leading international event in this sector and the strong appetite for coming together and interacting in person once again,” asserts Sascha F. Wenzler, Formnext Vice President at organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH. “It also demonstrates that this vibrant, in-person exhibition is crucial to a highly innovative industry like ours as a platform for showcasing innovations and discussing them with international industry professionals. It is the perfect springboard for getting future-oriented, sustainable technological developments off the ground.”

What you should absolutely know:

Mesago announced a few months ago that Formnext 2021 will be held this year as a “2G” event (admittance for people who have been vaccinated or recovered from COVID only).

Exhibitors that will showcase their AM solutions to the fAMily are coming from 35 countries and for the first time, the exhibition will feature a European nation as a partner country: Italy. I remember that some machine manufacturers told 3D Adept Media that Italian customers account for most of their turnover in Europe.

This year, Italian exhibitors, such as Lincotek, Mimete, Prima Industrie, Roboze, Sisma, WASP, and others, will be demonstrating Italy’s position as an important innovator for the entire industry.

Moreover, let us not forget that formnext is also a wide range of sub-events that aim to diversify our experience in the world of AM technologies. This means that visitors will appreciate the special BE-AM | Built Environment Additive Manufacturing showcase, the VDMA’s Additive Manufacturing Association’s AM applications, the international Formnext Start-up Challenge & Purmundus Challenge, the two-hour Discover3Dprinting seminars, the TCT Conference @ Formnext or even the ASTM Standards Forum.

In the midst of this excitement, we do not forget there will still be a lot of people that won’t be able to attend the in-person event due to Covid-19 restrictions. The Formnext Digital Days have especially been formulated for them. They will be held on 30 November and 1 December 2021 and will also provide a comprehensive online offering.

In the meantime, keep in mind that the 3D ADEPT Media has got you covered. Whether you attend formnext or not, we will make sure to report on the “must know” solutions through a wide range of video, written contents, pictures, etc. So stay tuned…
