Beyond the advantages of AM, the technology becomes even more interesting when users are able to identify when and where exactly they earn money.
So, how can industries recognize hidden capital in production processes and convert it into value drivers? Gravity Pull Systems, a software company that debuted last year onto the AM market provides an answer to this question.
With its Synoptik software, the company can carry out process mining applications and can also examine the monetary side of production.
The company explains in a press communication that its Synoptik’s AI-applications reveal hidden capital in production processes, which can mostly be traced back to sub-optimal manufacturing processes. To avoid manufacturing errors or over-prized outcomes, Synoptik analyzes and re-optimizes changes in processes, and provides a selection of data-based optimization proposals for current and future processes. Users can select amongst several recommendations – which fully take time, budget and quality guidelines into account – to significantly reduce production costs.
“As an integrated system consisting of Schedule Optimizer and MES, Synoptik enables holistic overall process with continuous traceability to digitize additive manufacturing processes, from order entry up to included post-processing (CNC integration, heat treatment, quality assurance and customer delivery)”, one learns.
In the 2021 March/April issue of 3D ADEPT Mag, Gravity Pull Systems took part in an exclusive feature that discusses the link between IoT and AM.
