Meltio, known for its Laser Metal Deposition (LMD) technology has announced that Godiz is its first official service bureau for wire-laser metal 3D printing solutions in Spain and Portugal. Godiz focuses on lathing, milling, drilling, and welding technologies and has shifted towards machining and industrial services.

This agreement was made through Sicnova, the sales partner of Meltio for the Iberian Peninsula. Under this partnership, Godiz provides its clients across different industries with the Meltio Engine Robot Integration. This solution exploits Meltio’s wire-laser technology, fabricating multi-metal 3D printed parts with machining-level tolerances in one step.

Francisco González, The sales EMEA manager at Meltio highlights that “We are thrilled to be working with Godiz and Sicnova, as the collaboration between sales and integration partners within the Meltio ecosystem is critical to fast-track technology adoption in a territory. With Godiz’s expertise, we can bring an end-to-end solution to customers that require hybrid manufacturing metal printed parts in Spain and Portugal.”

Francisco Gómez, executive president of Godiz, underlined that this new technology enables the production and repair of high-added-value metal parts – something the company was not in a position to tackle before.

This widens Godiz‘s portfolio of services and technological offers to meet the complex demands of its clients in Spain and Portugal. Meltio’s wire-laser technology features efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and commodity welding wire.

The CEO of Godiz, Francisco Gómez states: “With the acquisition of Meltio’s technology, we are closer to achieving our goal of being able to manufacture any part that would be practically impossible through conventional methods. This, along with our already established machining service, allows us to manufacture almost any type of part across a wide range of materials. We aim to proceed with repairs on high-value materials using the cladding technique, and repairs outside our service portfolio. In short, this collab with Meltio will enable us to grow technologically and offer extensive services to our existing & potential clients, reaching areas we previously couldn’t.”
