Endless Industries is a Berlin-based startup developing a 3D printer based on continuous fiber 3D printing. Interestingly, by participating in the Formenxt Startup Challenge in 2023, the company positioned itself as a developer of printheads and nozzle technology that ambitioned to enhance the way FDM 3D printing is performed.

Its business model has shifted over time. And today, Stephan Körber, Mathias Czasny, and Moritz EbelingRump, founders of the company, are working hard to accelerate the go-to-market strategy of a technology initially developed by Czasny, CTO. The ultimate goal of the CTO is to make composite AM easier than what we used to witness with traditional composite manufacturing.

To do so, the team bets on an open manufacturing strategy to address the demanding structural needs in the industry.  Named Endless One, the company’s flagship product  can deliver scalability and customization across industries, from medical to automotive and aerospace.

With a build volume of 600 × 400 × 440 mm, the machine’s heatable build chamber can reach up to 100°C, and its print bed up to 180°C.

Their manufacturing portfolio is supported by their proprietary Akio Slicing software which plans fiber layouts for parts.

At Formnext 2024, the company exemplified its technology capabilities through orthotics and tooling applications. The team explained for instance that their 3D printer can fabricate tooling that can endure high autoclave temperatures and pressures at reduced cost and production time compared to conventional tooling processes.

If it is not clear whether or not the company continues to commercialize printheads, we believe it has the potential to be a one-stop shop for everything related to continuous fiber 3D printing (hardware, software and materials). Given, the current need for large parts in the market, and the ability of continuous fiber 3D printing to meet such production requirements, I can only hope Endless Industries will be up to this challenge.
