Almost full 15th edition of AM Madrid show to have innovation and guided tours

A new AM Madrid show is about to start on November 15 where visitors will get insights on machine tools through an hour long guided tours and other innovation tours.

The 15th edition of Advanced Manufacturing Madrid (AM Madrid), a key event for the additive manufacturing industry, is back in IFEMA on November 15-16. A month prior to the event organized by Easyfairs which hosts 600 companies and 13000 professionals, 98% of stands are already booked.

The AM Madrid show will begin with the Advanced Manufacturing Awards on November 15 where companies showing the best innovation and business are honoured. In June last year, it was declared that AM Madrid was launching an award to felicitate the most innovative Spanish industrial fabric ideas. The awards have 77 finalists competing which provides a glimpse of the best products and solutions in the manufacturing sector including additive manufacturing.

The Managing Director of Easyfairs Iberia, Oscar Barranco echoed this when he said AM Madrid is a  “dynamic forum” where “the latest trends and solutions are presented first-hand, providing companies with the tools they need to propel their businesses to new heights”.

The AM Madrid show will have three events – Metal Madrid, Composites and Robomática Madrid. While the Metal Madrid event is chiefly for the metal sector including metal AM, Composites Madrid is the only composite materials show in Spain, hence crucial for composite material users in additive manufacturing.

The Composites Madrid segment of the AM Madrid show has a new exclusive space Composites Ágora for new composite materials where Biesse Materia will showcase a Formula One SAE car model made of carbon fiber and wood. On November 16, the IV AEMAC Congress will be hosted in this segment.

The Robomática Madrid segment, on the other hand, is for digitization and automation in industries including 3D printing.

All three events will touch upon areas of product testing, smart plastics and quality control.

Practical workshops on additive manufacturing are returning at AM Madrid along with new additions like robotics and occupational risk prevention in the manufacturing sector.

The chief attraction of this year is the Tech Congress 4.0 keynote session given by Artificial Intelligence and Metaverse explorer Pedro Lozano. The Tech Congress 4.0 will be held in three rooms –

  • the Dassault Systèmes Room for sustainability, digital revolution, digital twins, robotics in remote operation;
  • the Maquinser Room for practical workshops on new production processes including additive manufacturing
  • the Soldaman and CESOL hall for welding and occupational hazard reducing workshops including the use of robots

This year’s AM Madrid show will also have  “Lives! Demo Machinery” guided tours which will guide visitors through the machine tool usage on display for 60 minutes. Professionals can also take advantage of the seven innovation tours that showcase the latest developments in additive manufacturing, composite materials, automation and robotics.

AM companies can enhance their network by directly contacting other companies from the manufacturing sector on the AM Madrid show. The organisers are using a smart badge technology for the visitors which creates a digital folder that stores information about all the interactions done by the badge holder for future reference.
