For those who follow celebrities’ news, you may have heard that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding is in the upcoming days. Some businessmen take it as an opportunity to sell more products featured with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s images.
To mark the Royal couple’s dedication to the fight against single-use plastic bottles, SodaStream, the sparkling water brand, has dressed up a set of limited edition bottles to be auctioned as a donation to the plastic-free charity – Surfers Against Sewage.
According to the company, the miniature hats would have been created using 3D printing. They are 100% recyclable. “Each of the five exclusive hat designs is inspired by an iconic look previously sported by female royals.” Further information has unfortunately not been given regarding the technical specificities. However, the idea has been conceived by the Israeli innovation agency, Gefen Team, and developed jointly with SodaStream’s Global Marketing Team.
“Tackling ocean plastic pollution should be a top priority for governments, brands and people,” commented Hugo Tagholm, Chief Executive of Surfers Against Sewage. This fight is also the concern of some associations and designers you have already heard about on 3D Adept: Julia Daviy and Million Waves Project.
We now join Daniel Birnbaum, CEO of SodaStream who takes [his] “hat off to the royal couple and wish them all the best in their marriage.”
