ULT launches fume extraction solutions for 3D printing applications based on laser

ULT AG, a developer of high efficiency fume extraction technology and process air drying solutions, has been working on new   solutions for air purification during laser processes. As a reminder, these solutions can be used in a wide range of industries and laser processes including laser cutting, laser welding, laser marking, etc. However, we always focus on the potential they can have for the AM industry

Those air purification solutions are a response to process safety – from the utilization of turn-key solutions for emission reduction up to special designs where safety is the main focus, the company notes in a press release.

Amid the wide range of solutions in its new portfolio, ULT AG will highlight a new ignition source-free version of the recently introduced LAS 800 laser fume extractor. This platform enables aspects of fire and explosion protection to be considered and implemented in a unique way.

As far as AM is concerned, “there are unrivalled extraction solutions for process gas purification or post-processing tasks, developed to achieve maximum product quality. The range of air cleaning units includes mobile and stationary devices, modular solutions to adapt to changing laser processes and specially configured systems that support customer-specific applications”, ULT explains.

Those solutions will be unveiled at LASER World of Photonics, from 26-29 April 2022 in Munich/Germany ULT AG: hall A6, stand 561.
