A newly established venture, nFrontier Emerging Technologies Center [EmTeCe] ambitions to become one of Europe’s leading facilities of creatively applied Emerging Technologies in soft- and hardware.
If the name nFrontier in the newly created company sounds familiar, it’s because it is a Berlin-based studio which was launched last year by ex-executives from BigRep. As a reminder, at the core of its services is a smartly designed, proprietary operating model they call A to L, designed to facilitate product development and business models with a lasting impact and added value.
Together with Stratasys as a founding partner, they have decided to take “a leap into the future of impact-driven innovation in Additive Manufacturing”.
In this vein, the EmTeCe will integrate the “Emerging Eight Technologies” in one single facility: Additive Manufacturing, Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Robotics, Generative Design, Drones and Quantum Computing.
Created to serve as a dynamic lab environment, the nFrontier founders will use the center to co-create new technical solutions. As a technology founding partner, Stratasys has provided high-tech equipment and infrastructure that will help demonstrate new ways of developing products for its customers.
Three main 3D printing technologies from Stratasys will be leveraged at the EmTeCe: FDM®, PolyJet™, and P3 Programmable Photopolymerization. “We believe that our contribution to the EmTeCE will serve as a perfect launching pad to successfully introducing leading-edge product innovations. We share a common vision for the convergence of digital design and manufacturing, creating sustainable growth and better products”, explained Andreas Langfeld, President EMEA Stratasys.
Located in the heart of Berlin, the EmTeCe aims at becoming a key international institution for digital design and product development and a landmark of the German capital’s tech-scene, to date dominated by software and platform businesses.
“We are very proud to welcome Stratasys as the first EmTeCe Founding Partner and are looking forward to exploring the potential of these manufacturing technologies within our innovation projects”, said Daniel Buening, nFrontier CEO. “This commitment also shows Stratasys’ visionary mindset shaping the future of impact-driven product innovation enabled by technology convergence.”
