Machine Manufacturer Solukon has expanded its business activities in the UK, Ireland and Canadian Additive Manufacturing (AM) markets.
Since the beginning of the year, the expert in automated powder removal systems is not only involved in several collaborations with industrial 3D printer manufacturers, it has also started building a strong distribution network around the globe; HASMAK-T in Turkey being the first distribution partner.
As from now on, it will start providing its depowdering systems in the UK and Ireland through the expertise of Turbex. The Hampshire-based company brings four decades of expertise in delivering cleaning equipment for hundreds of UK businesses. Its portfolio includes other third-party products that meet the needs of their customers in a range of industries, including Aerospace, Automotive, Medical or Energy.
John Huntingdon, Managing Director of Turbex, is equally delighted by the partnership: “Solukon has undergone impressive development in recent years. Together we will raise postprocessing to a new level in our customer landscape.”
Michael Sattler, Global Sales Director responsible for the distributor network at Solukon, points out: “Solukon is the pioneer of depowdering of metal laser powder bed fusion parts – which means removal of trapped powder and reclaiming it without contamination in a repeatable, certifiable way. It therefore seems logical to cooperate with a cleaning expert for one of our key markets, who is perfectly familiar with the business landscape in the region.”
In the Canadian AM market on the other hand, the Germany-based manufacturer will rely on the expertise of Machine Tool Systems Inc. to help manufacturers in key vertical industries explore the Solukon Smart Powder Recuperation® technology.
Founded in 1998 and based in Toronto, Machine Tool Systems Inc. also includes in its portfolio provides third-party products like EOS machines. Its ultimate goal being to enable the development of complex, precise and productivity enhancing Additive Manufacturing solutions.
“All Solukon systems are compatible with the systems of German OEM EOS. Canadian prospects of Machine Tool Systems Inc. therefore rely on a qualified partner who is both perfectly familiar with the top-of-the-line systems for 3D printing and for depowdering”, says Michael Sattler, Global Sales Director of Solukon.
John Manley, President of Machine Tool Systems Inc. adds, “We are pleased to represent Solukon on the growing Canadian AM market. Powder removal often is one of the pain points in industrial Additive Manufacturing. By partnering with Solukon we are closing the gap between manufacturing and post processing for our customers”.
