SHINING 3D, a developer and provider of professional 3D digitizing and metrology solutions, launches the FreeScan Trak ProW+, the upgraded successor to the FreeScan Trak ProW.
Designed for efficient measurement of large-scale workpieces, the new wireless 3D dynamic tracking and scanning system delivers an ultra-large tracking range, marker-free scanning, and greater freedom of movement, helping manufacturers streamline large-object inspection.
The FreeScan Trak ProW+ features an ultra-long tracking distance of up to 8.6 meters and expands the single-station tracking volume to 156 m³. By covering a larger area from a single tracker position, it significantly reduces the need for leapfrog operations during large-scale scanning, helping users improve measurement efficiency and simplify workflows.
The system also retains the core advantages of the FreeScan Trak Pro series, including high accuracy, stable repeatability, and rapid data acquisition. With marker-free scanning and scanning speeds of up to 7.6 million points per second, users can capture large amounts of 3D data quickly without the time-consuming placement of markers.
Multiple laser modes including 93 crossed laser lines, 25 parallel laser lines, and a single laser line support both high-speed scanning and detailed measurement of complex or hard-to-reach features.
With integrated computing and wireless modules, the FreeScan Trak ProW+ provides a truly cable-free scanning experience, with real-time data processing and stable wireless transmission. A built-in display provides convenient access to key device information, giving operators greater freedom to move around large workpieces and work efficiently in demanding shop-floor environments.
For large-scale applications requiring volumetric accuracy, SHINING 3D’s patented Video Photogrammetry (VPG) technology uses video capture and a calibration rod to enable real-time marker verification without coded markers, streamlining setup and supporting consistent measurement accuracy across large volumes.
For extremely large objects, multiple FreeScan Trak ProW+ systems can also work together to expand measurement coverage, offering a flexible solution for full-field scanning.
