Bambu Lab is now selling 3D scanners

Winners of the Make for Good: Accessibility Design Contest will be the first user of Bambu Lab’s 3D scanner, the Bambu Lab S1.

You heard it well, the 3D printer manufacturer is expanding its portfolio of products and now taps into 3D scanning. Well, technically, a 3D scanning solution completes very well the use of a 3D printer.  The question is why a 3D scanner?

And for Bambu Lab, it’s a natural extension of their vision of “building a personal manufacturing hub by making professional-grade tools accessible.”

The S1 aims to address hurdles like unreliable wireless experiences and steep learning curves that are often associated with 3D scanning.

For Bambu Lab users who are already familiar with the company’s solutions and with 3D scanning in general, a real differentiator compared to other 3D scanning solutions would be to offer free subscription access to the software.

The Bambu Lab S1 3D scanner is coming in two weeks. Stay tuned, we’ll update this page to add the technical specifications.
