Röser GmbH will be the first to leverage PERI’s 3D construction printer

PERI GmbH, a company that specializes in 3D construction printing technology starts bearing fruits of its R&D activities.  Two years ago, the construction printing technology company invested in Danish company COBOD, acknowledged for its construction 3D printing technology.

Together, they have been refining the technology and open up new markets ever since. Today, the company’s technology capabilities have been recognized as Röser GmbH becomes its first customer.

The German buyer specializes in the construction sector and wants to manufacture prefabricated concrete elements at its site in Laupheim. The company would like to take advantage of unrestricted scope for design for the open space planning sector, special-purpose shapes for road construction and civil engineering, creative components for building construction and also stylish individual concrete parts.

This new 3D construction printer is a long-term, innovative investment for the future that aims to minimise the planning restrictions associated with concrete components

PERI’s BOD2 construction printer is a “gantry printer”, which means that the print head moves about three axes on a securely installed metallic frame. With the ability to move along its frame to any position in the structure, the printer eliminates the need for frequent relocation and recurrent calibration. Only two operators are required to run the printer while a camera easily helps monitor the print head and the print results.

With a printing speed of 1 m/s, the BOD2 only takes around 5 minutes to complete one square metre of a double-skin wall.

Maximilian Röser, Managing Partner of Röser GmbH, says:  “We have monitored the development and potential of 3D construction printers in various industries and we are convinced that they will also have a huge role to play in the precast concrete industry over the long term. Röser GmbH has always been a highly innovative company that is open to new ideas. For that reason, we are embarking on this venture of further developing and promoting 3D construction printing technology with conviction, with PERI as our partner. We hope that the business relationship between PERI and Röser GmbH proves to be a long and fruitful one.”
