3D printer manufacturer Raise3D has launched six new resins for the DF2 Resin DLP Solution, expanding its lineup to address diverse engineering needs. These resins support applications such as high-speed prototyping, and elastic parts with low shore ratings, high strength, and high impact resistance. Combined with previously released options, Raise3D offers 15 materials in the portfolio to meet high-performance engineering prototype and low-volume production needs, including high temperature, high toughness, and high-precision options, with color choices such as clear, grey, white, and apricot.

The DF2 Resin DLP Printing Solution embeds post-processing parameters into its slicing software and integrates RFID-powered smart build plates to ensure a fully traceable workflow across the print, wash, and cure processes. This system ensures consistent part quality for low-volume production while reducing labor time and minimizing costs.

The Raise3D Open Material Program (OMP) enables customers to access the popular resins from renowned material manufacturers such as Henkel LOCTITE® and Forward AM Ultracur3D®. Nine resins in the portfolio are in collaboration with these manufacturers after vigorous testing and validation.

Each OMP template is released in ideaMaker for an integrated user experience and includes printing, washing, and curing parameters. The following six new resin templates are now available in ideaMaker version 5.1.4:

  • Raise3D Draft Grey V1 Resin – Tailored for high-speed prototyping, this resin offers a cost-effective solution for users looking to prioritize speed and efficiency without compromising on quality. Its grey finish ensures clean, professional-looking models that are ready for review.
  • Forward AM Ultracur3D® EL 4000 – A flexible elastomeric resin with a high hardness of Shore 90 A. It has a superior strength, rebound, and tear resistance, which is perfectly suitable for applications such as footwear, bike saddles, and cushioning pads.
  • Forward AM Ultracur3D® EL 60 – A very versatile reactive urethane photopolymer for highly elastic applications, combining very good torsional strength and elongation at break with high softness (Shore 75 A) and low water uptake. It shows almost no compression set over time and is very easy to print.
  • Henkel LOCTITE® 3D 3843™ – A semi-flexible resin with moderate temperature resistance, high impact strength, and excellent surface finish. This high-strength engineering plastic is versatile for a wide range of production tools, offering high green strength, accurate printing, and functionality at room temperature.
  • Henkel LOCTITE® 3D PRO410™ – A rigid photopolymer designed for high-resolution and accuracy. It delivers exceptional surface finish and prints three times faster than traditional Henkel 3D resins. Ideal for accurate prototypes, it can withstand temperatures up to 60°C.
  • Henkel LOCTITE® 3D PRO417™ – A high-strength photoplastic with good impact resistance, moderate heat resistance, and excellent surface finish. Ideal for performance prototypes and tooling applications, it can be machined, tapped, or polished for a final finish. Its high green strength ensures accurate printing and functionality at room temperature.

According to Edward Feng, Raise3D’s Global CEO, “Enabling a wide variety of applications through a comprehensive resin portfolio has been our strategic focus for DF2 resin DLP solution. Raise3D remains committed to delivering more engineering materials tailored to meet the evolving demands of the 3D printing industry.”
