Metalpine has recently celebrated the launch of a new production site for metal additive manufacturing powders. The celebration took place before the containment measures at the new site located in Graz in the southeast of Austria.
Acknowledged for the production of metal powders, the producer operates globally, in Germany, Austria, France, Bahrain, USA, China and Japan. Their proprietary technology allows for the production of any alloys (e.g. copper alloys, steels, nickel based or titanium alloys, molybdenum, tungsten, etc.).
Designed for applications that require technologies such as powder bed fusion, metal injection moulding, powder deposition welding or for surface coatings, those materials are produced with a flexible, environmental-friendly inert-gas-process in a cleanroom environment.
“The big advantages of the METALPINE materials are the perfectly reproducible powder quality with a narrow particle size distribution, good flowability and spherical, pore-free particles. This leads to a maximum performance of the produced part with a predictable and reliable product quality.
Besides an outstanding production infrastructure, the new Graz production site has a very good connection towards industry and university driven additive manufacturing development activities. Outstanding research on manufacturing processes, materials and AM applications are conducted with the two Styrian engineering universities, University of Leoben and Technical University Graz”, said the company in a press release.
