As far as the 3D printing industry is concerned, we discovered the involvement of Henkel for the first time when talking about a collaboration with HP. The company wears several hats. In addition to be a provider of chemicals and material, the company is the first global reseller of HP Jet Fusion 3D printers. Furthermore, in a collaboration with Bossard, Henkel will provide the Swiss company with its Loctite PR10 DLP printer and its synthetic resins for 3D printing.

Furthermore, the company is currently working with Carbon on materials and specialized dispensing equipment for polymerization-based 3D Printing technologies.  Both companies have implemented a meter mix and dispense device (MMD). Once integrated in Carbon’s SpeedCell manufacturing system, the resin dispensing system allows for proper dispensing of Carbon’s materials in bulk quantities. They are also developing Loctite’s resins for Carbon’s materials ecosystem.

Today, to foster the industrial usage of 3D printing solutions, Henkel’s offering enables equipment for automation as well as solutions for curing, impregnation and surface treatment in post-processing. This offering has “strengthened the company´s additive manufacturing ecosystem and accelerates the integration of 3D printed parts into the industrial assembly and supply chain infrastructure.
