Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) supplier Farsoon Technologies is showcasing the latest developments in its powder bed fusion systems FS621M and Flight SS403P-2 at Booth C11 Hall 11.1 at Formnext 2023.
For nearly a decade, since the installation of its first powder bed fusion system in 2015, Farsoon has been offering metal and plastic L-PBF systems to its European customers. The new developments are in line with it as it continues to focus on maximizing productivity of the 3D printing process with multi-lasers on large-format platforms. The company has also expanded its 3D printing materials portfolio to better serve its customers.
Earlier in 2020, the AM company launched the FS621M LPBF system with a cylinder size of 620 x 620 x 1100mm which was mostly used by the aerospace and general manufacturing industries.
The FS621M platform from the empower series has 510,000 hours of operation time with some machines running as high as 80% + uptime. This LPBF system has been installed in more than 60 units to produce large-scale repeatable AM parts.
Now, Farsoon is targeting industrial research and development clients in Europe for the FS621M LPBF system and they will showcase this at the upcoming Formnext 2023 event where the local service and support team will be there to help with the installation.
The company will also showcase its high-temperature plastic powder bed fusion platform Flight 403P Series system which has a dual-laser configuration of fiber lasers. Farsoon introduced this LPBF system back in May 2021 and it has been installed in more than 260 units since then. The dual laser Flight 403P system can achieve 2 full industrial-scale builds within 24 hours, boosting productivity by 3-4 times more than a single CO2 laser SLS machine.
Farsoon has included advanced features in the two LPBF systems to be on display at Formnext 2023. This includes features like removable cartridges and external cooling station. With this, the company has improved its uptime and is aiming for higher throughput while maintaining the same footprint.
