Just like many events that are used to be held in-person, Europe’s leading Powder Metallurgy Congress will take place online for the first time on 5-7 October 2020.
Behind the organization of this congress is the European Powder Metallurgy Association, an association whose mission has taken different forms over time. However, the ultimate goal remains to represent different sectors of the powder metallurgy industry that includes press and sinter specialists, HIP, material producers and more recently additive manufacturing players.
This 2020 congress will feature over 150 Technical Presentations, and more than 50 Poster Presentations.
“The Technical Sessions will be available to join live, featuring question and answer sessions with the speakers, or anytime on demand for the duration of the event. Delegates will, for the first time, will have the opportunity to attend as many sessions, on the full range of PM strands, as they desire”, the association said in a press release.
“We have sincere belief that this could be the most successful Euro PM Congress yet, despite the shift to a virtual platform” said EPMA Executive Director, Lionel Aboussouan. “Conducting the event online will hopefully put greater focus on the high-quality content of the technical papers in 2020, and the live Q and A sessions will allow delegates to extract even greater knowledge from speakers, overcoming reservations of public speaking some attendees may have.”
