D3 Technologies, a provider of manufacturing solutions based in Missouri has announced the integration of the Markforged Metal X printer in its portfolio.
D3Technologies is already an Autodesk manufacturing partner in North America, therefore provides the software, development and engineering services of the software company. With these new metal 3D printing capabilities, the company is the only one to owe a metal printer in a 150+ mile radius.
It can now demonstrate and sell an end-to-end manufacturing solution to clients and companies interested in 3D metal printing.
“Until recently, our machine shop was focused on subtractive manufacturing housing a variety of CNC equipment, running 24 hours a day to do fabrication in aluminum, stainless, carbon, plastics and more. In addition to that, we also have four other composite 3D printers in our Corporate office.
“However, we also recognize that innovations have launched metal 3D printing into a new era and new approaches to manufacturing are being discovered because of it. […]. Everything from what production workers do on a daily basis, to how the designer and engineer go about their work, to what the factory looks like and even to how business agreements are structured will be affected. We are helping our clients get ahead with an understanding and vision of how that could happen for their businesses,” said Kevin Schlack, President of D3 Technologies.
By printing metal powder bound in a plastic matrix, the Markforged Metal X eliminates the safety risks associated with traditional metal 3D printing while enabling new features like closed-cell infill for reduced part weight and cost.
D3 Technologies can now offer as well as produce parts in 17-4 PH stainless steel and H13 tool steel. The company will certainly expand to additional metal materials as they become available from Markforged, whom D3 is a trusted Reseller for.
