The Italian manufacturer of electric motorcycles created this new area for the development and construction of the Ego Corsa race bikes for the 2019 race season. About 160 sq. meters will be dedicated to special and custom projects and is located within the Energica production area.

The company’s new department will integrate both Subtractive Manufacturing technologies such as CNC Machining and the company’s 3D printing technologies. The patented Windform high-performance composite materials will also be exploited in production processes of high-performance finished parts and functional prototypes in a short turnaround.

The 2019 model is used for testing sessions and at this stage it employs parts manufactured by CRP Meccanica and CRP Technology.

Livia Cevolini, CEO of Energica Motor Company S.p.A, said: “We are very satisfied with how the MotoE™ World Cup is shaping up at a very rapid pace.  The development is moving forward non-stop since the beginning of the year and we are very satisfied with the results obtained. We will stay focused and continue with the excellent work done so far.”
