3devo, a Dutch company that provides polymer 3D printing solutions, announced it will gear towards a new business model in 2024. The company is acknowledged for its Filament Maker Fused Filament Fabrication 3D printer series which includes the Filament Maker Two Fusion, Filament Maker Two HighFlow, Filament Maker Composer 450/350, and Filament Maker Precision 450/350.
With the goal of evolving its focus “to deepen its impact for customers and partner projects”, 3devo will transition away from its traditional sales model. This means that customers will have until the end of January 2024 to buy machines from the manufacturer. The announcement follows the recent launch of the Filament Maker TWO, a solution designed to produce filaments that could withstand temperatures up to 450°C. Despite its recent launch, the commercialization of this solution will also cease as of end of January.
“Through the first quarter of 2024, we’ll be focusing even more on providing unparalleled support and expertise for your projects,” 3devo’s email reads. “You can expect the same innovative spirit and quality from 3devo, with an enhanced commitment to helping you achieve your goals. This shift, the biggest in our history, opens new doors for collaboration and innovation, and significantly increases our impact in the industry.”
