BEAMIT has recently announced various collaborations within the ASD markets (Aviation, Space and Defence) and Oil & Gas markets. The additive manufacturing service provider will manufacture gas turbines components for TEMA Energy.

The company delivers burners and combustors for gas turbines, as well as materials and equipment, resulting in improved component performance and extended life. This agreement will enable customers in the Power Generation, Aviation and Aerospace sectors to obtain a single point of contact for complex solutions.

“The cooperation with BEAMIT represents a step forward in the expansion of our business to cover new applications and markets. In BEAMIT we have found competences and skills resulting in a high level of quality and reliability of the parts produced by additive manufacturing. Customers can rely on TEMA Energy and BEAMIT as unique solution providers of a wider range of products and services” said Paolo Zani, Tema Energy Chief Executive Officer.

Within the ASD markets on the other hand, BEAMIT aims to explore new possibilities between, additive manufacturing and composite materials. To this extent, the Italian manufacturer will collaborate with Bercella, which specializes in advanced Composite Materials.

Both provide vertically integrated solutions, ranging from materials development and component qualification, to serial manufacturing but the focus of this collaboration will be made on innovative joining methods between AM and CFRP (Carbon-fiber reinforced polyamide) parts.

“In BERCELLA we found a high-professional partner capable to provide leading expertise in composites design and manufacturing for aerospace applications.” said Michele Antolotti, BEAMIT General Manager. “Despite the world economic consequences of the actual pandemic situation, joining forces it’s a strategic way to react and to support high-end companies into their ramp-up of new product development.”

Both announcements follow the appointment of Daniel Johns as Chief Technological Officer and Head of Business Development, a sign that BEAMIT is taking the right steps to move forward in a current complex economical environment.
