To create a special edition for her Bound by Bloodlines series, indie author Clarissa Bright completely reimagines what book design can be.
Bright is known for her cinematic, emotionally charged dark romances, her devoted heroes, and her smart heroines. Her work explores power, devotion, and legacy through vivid, character-driven storytelling.
Using 3D printing, she created a sculpted collector’s set for her six novels. Each novel is housed in a custom slipcase with magnetically attached backplates that serve as temporary bookmarks and books that connect to each other to form a continuous spine mural. Every piece is designed, printed, and hand-assembled by Bright herself in her Florida studio.
“I wanted to bring the craftsmanship and feel of 3D printing into books,” Bright says. “There’s such a physical intimacy to building something layer by layer, and I couldn’t believe no one had ever made a collector’s set this way before.”
The collection is now available via a Kickstarter campaign.
Backers will receive the complete six-book Bound by Bloodlines saga, each volume signed and housed in six sculpted slipcases that form a continuous spine mural. The magnetized spines double as both bookmarks and bookends, combining function with artistry. Exclusive to the Founder Edition is a striking multicolor filament finish, along with a bonus sculpted crest tile that will never be offered again. Deluxe tiers add even more value with personalization options, audiobooks, and custom filament colors for a truly one-of-a-kind collection.
