As Field Support Engineer, you will be working with printer technologies, additive materials, data and processes that are on the leading edge of the industry.
You will be the technical expert in providing PostProcess solutions to customers with various print technologies. This will require building relationships with current customers and supporting the ever-changing applications developing in the AM industry.Â
You will assist the Sales team with potential customer visits, providing technical expertise on customer applications.
After the sale, you will be responsible for the machine installation, including certifying technicians, maintenance staff and manufacturing personnel that will utilize our solution (software, hardware, chemistry).
Our Field Support Engineer will have responsibility for the second-level maintenance and repair services of installed equipment.Â
Our technologies are constantly evolving along with the needs and requirements of our expanding customer base. Field Support Engineer at PostProcess Technologies will be at the front line, determining what these needs are, and playing a vital role in the growth of both the company and the industry of Additive Manufacturing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
â—ŹÂ Â Â Â Â Provide application specific details to Technical Services for processing benchmarks from the customer.
â—ŹÂ Â Â Â Â Nurture and maintain trusted-advisor customer relationships
â—ŹÂ Â Â Â Â Support the Finish3D Europe Lab in Sophia Antipolis (Benchmark process)
â—ŹÂ Â Â Â Â Establish and maintain a regular post sale communication with assigned customers
â—ŹÂ Â Â Â Â Assist in development of training materials, and technical notes for customers
●     Serve as the technical “voice of the customer” liaison between the customer and Finish3D Lab
â—ŹÂ Â Â Â Â Perform pre-delivery customer site
●     Install and integrate PPT solutions at customer’s facilities resulting in exceptional customer satisfaction.
â—ŹÂ Â Â Â Â Administer Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and maintain thorough and accurate documentation throughout the entire process.
●     Extensive travel in Europe required and potentially international travel in the future. Maintain availability and flexibility for on-call and on-site customer support. Attend trade shows and other significant customer events.
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in mechanical or material or chemical engineering
- 3-5 years relevant experience, or acceptable combination of both – Customer-facing experience required
- Must hold valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing is beneficial
- Fluent in French and English – a third European language is a plus
