3D Lab, a developer of advanced metal atomization technology has been granted a US patent for its “Method and Device for Producing Heavy Metal Powders by Ultrasonic Atomization.” The announcement follows the recent patent for metal powder production technology the company has been granted in China.
The US patent would underpin 3D Lab’s ATO series of ultrasonic metal atomizers, which would majorly drive the production of high-quality powders. High-quality metal powders with a spherical shape, well-controlled particle size, excellent flowability, and low oxygen content play a massive role in AM and industrial applications.
The CEO of 3D Lab, Jakub Rozpendowski reveals, “We are proud to add this US patent to our rapidly growing portfolio of global intellectual property. Our patented technologies drive our mission to provide advanced and versatile solutions for metal powder production, ensuring superior material quality and accelerating material innovations. This patent is a significant milestone in our journey, reflecting the team’s dedication and innovative spirit.”
The ATO Lab Plus is a modern ultrasonic atomizer curated specifically for lab-scale metal powder production. It can be incorporated into research & production sectors to assist in reactive & non-reactive metal powder manufacturing.
With its modular structure, the atomizer can offer seamless powder production abilities via different interchangeable models. The device also consists of modern safety protocols & automated specifications, ensuring efficient metal powder production even by non-technical users.
