3D Lab, an expert in advanced metal powder has been granted a Chinese patent for its ultrasonic atomization technology used in its ATO atomizers.

Simply put, the patent enables the production of metal powders for AM and other industrial applications. According to the company, it ensures ideal flowability and sphericity of powder particles, controllable particle size distribution, low oxygen content, and low atomizer footprint.

The ATO Lab Plus, 3D Lab’s ultrasonic atomizer flagship integrates this patent technology. This ATO Lab Plus allows the user to make spherical metal powders with variable particle sizes, versatile feedstock options, and quality consistently. The unit’s advanced technology is highly valued in powder metallurgy and supports industries with particular needs for metal powders.

Founded on innovation, 3D Lab is pushing the envelope of how metal powder can be produced, offering effective solutions to customers around the globe. The patented technology titled “A Method for Evacuation of Powder Produced by Ultrasonic Atomization and a Device for Implementing This Method,” further cements the company’s positioning in metal atomization technology.

These modern strategies can meet the increasing demands from sectors like aerospace, automotive, and medical devices.
