Germany-based dyeing specialist has launched a new range of coloring solutions to provide the automotive and lifestyle sectors with tailored solutions. It’s been 4 years already that DyeMansion keeps inventing new processes to meet both demanding requirements regarding colors and functional properties of 3D printed parts.
The Automotive ColorsX and Neon ColorsX recently launched are a true example of this commitment towards the AM industry.
“Some of our earliest customers who made use of DyeMansion Print-to-Product technologies for serial production are from the Automotive and Lifestyle industries. While working closely with our customers, joint strategies are always about creating even more value to their businesses. So, I feel very delighted to now offer additional value creating products. Automotive and Neon ColorsX are only the beginning of providing more specific industry offers”, says Kai Witter, Chief Customer Officer at DyeMansion.
How does it work for every industry?
In the automotive sector, quality is essential. Colors must resist heat and light as well as sractch and rub. According to the German manufacturer, the Automotive ColorsX integrates properties that improve light and heat resistance.
The black color would strengthen the properties of polyamide components in 3D printed interior parts of vehicles. The company explained that this color has been developed based on the hot irradiation standards of ISO EN 105 B06 method 3 in three successive cycles. Already tested on EOS PA1101, EOS PA2200 and PA12 HP 3D HDR, this specific color can already be used to achieve eyewear and medical applications.
As far as the Neon ColorsX are concerned, these colors can be found in various variants: GreenX, YellowX, OrangeX and PinkX. Both colors would be compatible with the company’s two surfacing options PolyShot Surfacing (PSS) and VaporFuse Surfacing (VFS).
However, DyMansion precises that the only limitation of the Neon colors would be its white base material.
