Post-curing takes the 3D printed parts and finishes the curing process. The process would enhance the mechanical properties of the 3D Printed parts and requires precision equipment with a specific wavelength and intensity light source, time control, and temperature control.
This process is a crucial aspect for SLA 3D Printing that requires technical resins. It is even mandatory for certain materials and applications in dentistry and jewellery.
Aware of the importance of this stage for SLA 3D Printing, Wicked Engineering, a 3D Printing service provider, launches the CUREbox® Plus. Alongside the CUREbox, this equipment is designed to provide the required environment to achiever a proper post-curing stage.
Both versions of the CUREbox support virtually all of the photosensitive resins on the market such as those made by Formlabs, B9 Creations, NextDent, and SprintRay. CUREbox can be used with other resins and Wicked Engineering is willing to collabrate with customers to develop custom recipes.
What makes the CUREbox Plus different from the others?
With all the great features of the standard CUREbox, the CUREbox Plus has several unique features. “For the Dental industry, we’ve included Dental One-Touch Presets making it even easier to use and more efficient. The CUREBox Plus has a large temperature range (30-80C) and the ability for fast heating. Just like the CUREbox, the Plus has a large capacity chamber at 12″ x 12″ x 6.25″, sufficient for most Dental and Jewelry parts. Both versions are also clean-room friendly », the company said in a press release.
