Dutch 3D Printer manufacturer Ultimaker expands its activities in the Asia-Pacific region with the opening of new offices. Benjamin Tan, former Channel Director at Dassault Systèmes, will be in charge with Ultimaker in Singapore and fulfill the role of Vice President Asia Pacific.
Seven years of continuous growth
Ultimaker has addressed the issues of companies from a variety of industries: Volkswagen, Ford, Jabil, Decathlon and Bosch. From partnerships to release of new 3D Printers, the company has evolved on its market and has known how to progressively embrace the industrial sector.
In the Asia Pacific region, Ultimaker will mainly target those industrial companies. Furthermore, it goes without saying that the opening of this new market will create jobs in the region and increase the economy of the region.
As for the new Vice President, he believes “there is a greater understanding of additive manufacturing in Asia Pacific. And, as per the Wohlers Report 2018, Asia-Pacific is poised to take a 30% share of the global 3D printing space. We will leverage our business development efforts to target Asia-Pacific multinationals and work closely with them to improve the supply chain. It is not only the perfect alignment between accessible and reliable hardware, software, and materials that distinguishes Ultimaker from all of its competitors. The open, innovative spirit of its employees and strong sales partner network has also contributed in bringing the company to its global leading position. I am very happy to be part of this team.”
