ULT AG, the expert in extraction and filtration technology, introduces the ACD 400.1 Ex, an all-new extraction machine designed for removing atmospheres containing flammable components. The announcement follows the recent launch of its ATEX-compliant solution that extracts and filters dry, combustible & dangerous fumes and dust.
Equipped with an explosion-proof fan compliant with ATEX Ex II 2G T3, the new system can extract and filter dry, flammable, and non-flammable gases and vapors in concentrations up to 20% of the lower explosion limit.
It is a modular, two-stage storage filter device, consisting of an M5 dust pre-filter and two adsorption filter modules (activated carbon). To prevent the ignition of flammable gases and vapors in the filter, the activated carbon filter elements and subsequent components such as the ATEX-compliant fan and the ATEX-compliant motor are earthed and designed to be free of ignition sources.
In addition to its properties as an Ex-device, the ACD 400.1 Ex offers additional user benefits such as extremely quiet operation, low energy consumption, and high flexibility while changing workplaces or types of emissions.
The filter cassettes are electrically conductive with a potential equalization connection and offer a high safety standard for users when changing filters. A T3 blower is installed in the device, hence gases of temperature classes T1-T3 can be extracted safely.
The extraction unit can be equipped with collection elements (extraction arms, hoses, pipes) in various sizes and types. Due to the high degree of gas filtration, the cleaned gas can be fed back into the work area via the standard integrated recirculation mode.
The devices can be equipped with an exhaust air nozzle for exhaust air operation for applications involving carcinogenic, mutagenic, or reproductively toxic gases. The ACD 400.1 Ex, specifically developed for applications involving flammable gases, is available with a comprehensive range of accessories.
