The latest technologies and solutions in battery technology, electric vehicles, advanced materials and technical ceramics under one roof

Whether you are working in the field of battery technology, electric vehicles or if you’re an industrial looking for this disruptive material that will be a game-changer for a specific application, Event Partners is giving you the opportunity to discover the latest innovations across these fields on 28th & 29th June 2023 at NEC Birmingham, UK.

The halls of the UK’s leading exhibition venue will host 4 complementary shows for product manufacturers, engineers and leaders in R&D looking to accelerate their product development cycle with the very latest advanced technologies.

As a media partner of these shows, what we find interesting about The Advanced Materials ShowThe Advanced Ceramics ShowBattery Cells & Systems Expo, and Vehicle Electrification Expo, is the opportunity to provide room for collaboration and new ideas between Additive Manufacturing technology providers and Additive Manufacturing users who will be looking for new partners. For us, the equation is simple: AM technology providers may have the opportunity to pitch new ideas and discuss the potential of their technology with companies specializing in battery cells & systems expo or electric vehicles – while companies of these fields of activity may discuss new AM and material solutions with providers exhibiting at The Advanced Materials Show and The Advanced Ceramics Show. These shows are not exclusively dedicated to AM; for the first time, we have a place that puts all these stakeholders on the same pedestal.

Furthermore, according to the organizer, as a result of the collaboration and achievements made by the Midlands Industrial Ceramics Group (MICG), their members are coming together into a bespoke MICG pavilion at The Advanced Ceramics Show, which represents a significant increase in their exhibiting footprint. The AMRICC Centre is also being launched at the event by MICG – this facility is providing the capabilities for the group to collaborate and deliver innovations.

As far as technology is concerned, the 2023 exhibition and four-track conference will feature a combination of AM technology providers as well as many other suppliers who provide technology solutions that are not necessarily related to AM. In the AM range, one may find the likes of Lithoz, 3DCeram, AZO, DMG Mori, Thermo Fisher ScientificGoodfellowRigaku EuropeABB LimitedElysia – Battery Intelligence by WAEAtlas Copco and many more.

Companies from vertical industries adopting AM that will be present include Andy Palmer, Inobat, Nusrat Ghani MP, UK Gov, Emanuel Eweka, AMTE Power, Neil Glover, Rolls Royce, Bhavika Ramrakhyani, Costain and many others.

Dr Andy Palmer and Roger Atkins for instance, two notable EV thought-leaders within the industry are being interviewed on stage at Vehicle Electrification Expo on Wednesday 28th June. Former CEO of Aston Martin, Dr. Palmer also led the Nissan team that launched the company’s pioneering start in the electric vehicle market: the Nissan Leaf. Two of the UK’s automotive industry’s leading voices on the current state of the UK EV sector will be sharing their insight exclusively at the show.

Also, at this year’s Vehicle Electrification Expo, Atlas Copco’s stand will feature a racing car in recognition of the company’s partnership with Red Bull Ford Powertrains, for the development of a new engine for 2026, which is being designed and manufactured at the team’s new facility in Milton Keynes.

Steve Bryan, Managing Director at Event Partners (organisers) says “We are absolutely delighted with the support we have seen for this event from the advanced technology and innovation industries. The technical battery, EV, advanced materials and ceramics industries in the UK are undergoing an unprecedented level of growth currently driven by both government and private investment. We are looking forward to getting major global organisations, start-ups and thought leaders together for two days of networking, collaboration and insight to help shape the next few years of these major industries.”
