Inspired by running shoes, intended for casual wear.

adidas is teasing interest with its brand-new 3D-printed sneaker called Climamog. Unlike other 3D printed sneakers it has already launched, the footwear brand has  incorporated the latest Climacool technology for breathability & additional comfort.

It’s a casual sneaker that has a sleek & silhouette design that takes after the form of regular running shoes. Its most distinguishing feature will be the 3D-printed finish with the upper portion made of 100% polyurethane. It also contains a breathable lattice down to its sole for comfortable ventilation.

While adidas continues its close collaboration with OEM Carbon to bring 3D printing technology to the running shoe market, there is no confirmation yet that adidas collaborated with Zellerfeld – an expert in clogs – to produce these 3D printed clogs.

The adidas Climamog is currently available in limited Asian markets, with a price tag of $146 to $168 in Malaysia and Singapore. Though it’s not confirmed when it will be officially released in the US, a recent Customs & Border Protection ruling indicates that the shoe will launch stateside soon.

adidas first released Climacool in 2002, but Climamog is said to be the most ambitious stride the brand has taken toward the world of 3D printing to date.
