THE AVIATION AM Centre, new venture designed to provide AM Turnkey Solutions for the Aviation Industry

Needless to say aerospace, space, automotive are among the top industries that foster the adoption of additive manufacturing, hence the launch of dedicated solutions to support players of this industry in their AM journey.

The latest initiative that aims to address solutions in the aviation industry is “The Aviation AM Centre”. The Germany-based company is a joint venture between AM Global GmbH and RANDERATH GmbH.

For those who do not know, AM Global is part of the LANGER GROUP and works with EOS to jointly develop and industrialise additive manufacturing applications. RANDERATH on the other hand, is a project delivery company leverages additive manufacturing as part of its activities.

Launched on July 02nd, their new venture aims at bringing Turnkey Additive Manufacturing (AM) to the Aviation Industry.

“Airline operations are facing very demanding time and cost saving imperatives, especially in the current environment,” commented Bernhard Randerath, founder and Chairman of the Board of the Aviation AM Centre. “We are very proud to celebrate the opening of this new venture which will provide tailored solutions, efficient processes and cutting-edge technology for airlines and other parts of the commercial aviation industry. Our partnership with AM Global brings together deep 3D printing technology know-how, with our understanding of the market for commercial aviation and additive manufacturing – the perfect basis for a strong business.”

According to the company’s website, aviation companies could be provided three types of services: the possibility to get their aviation AM parts certified, the possibility to get their AM machine certified or the possibility to get their Aviation AM Factory certified.

The Aviation AM Centre team will be based in the EOS Innovation Centre in Dusseldorf, Germany and will rely on EOS polymer 3D printing technology. In the short-run, production cells are to be developed to ‘drive more innovative and sustainable’ manufacturing solutions that are also able to output puts that meet European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards.

We are proud to announce a new venture of AM GLOBAL and RANDERATH: THE AVIATION AM CENTRE – bringing Turnkey Additive Manufacturing (AM) to the Aviation Industry.
The partnership is designed to improve sustainability and address the challenges of aircraft operators and MRO organizations, which need to reduce costs and downtime in cabin service operations. The new venture will provide end-to-end solutions for AM of certified cabin interior polymer parts for the aviation industry. The launch event was held on 2 July, 2021 in Düsseldorf, Germany. We had the honor to cut the ribbon of the new centre together with Peter Fischer, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Abu Dhabi. This underlines the collaboration with the newly founded German-Emirati Institute in Aachen, Germany.  Our team – Bernhard Randerath, Stephan Keil, Nel Zierhut – is looking forward to discuss how we accelerate your journey into Additve Manufacturing
