Provider of 3D scanning solutions SHINING 3D launches a new 3D scanner FreeScan Trio at Formnext 2023. The announcement follows the recent release of a color 3D scanning solution EinScan H2.

The FreeScan Trio scanner builds on the success of the FreeScan Combo launched earlier this year. The new scanner is the first major product launched after the SHINING 3D got ISO:17025 accreditation recently.

Key features of FreeScan Trio 3D scanner

The new 3D scanner has marker-free scanning capabilities supported by a 98-laser-line mode and a triple, 5MP camera system.

  • The 98 laser lines make it possible to do marker-free scanning at a speed of up to 3,010,000 points/second.
  • The Triple 5MP camera system captures intricate detailed pictures in high precision.
  • The FreeScan Trio machine has multiple scanning modes, including 7 parallel lines, 26 crossed lines, and single-line modes. This makes it suitable for use in 3D printing projects across various industries.
  • It also has a high accuracy rate as it can achieve an accuracy of up to 0.02mm with markers and a volumetric accuracy of up to 0.02 mm + 0.015mm/m with photogrammetry (built-in).
  • The product also comes with a good Photogrammetry Mode which eliminates the need for extra coded targets with a magnetic scale bar that works seamlessly.

All these features in the FreeScan Trio 3D scanner make it easier to use in 3D printing projects involving large objects as it reduces preparation time. It has the ability to capture at a speed of 3,010,000 points per second,  complemented by a field of view of 650 by 580mm, making it capture data in fewer sweeps.

The German company which has been supplying 3D scanning options for 20 years, will be displaying its new 3D scanner in booth E21 Hall 12.1 at Formnext from November 7 to November 10.
